“THE HAPPINESS OF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS
UPON THE QUALITY OF YOUR THOUGHTS"

Cognitive-behavioral therapy is talking therapy that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

Compassion focused therapy is a system of psychotherapy developed by Paul Gilbert that integrates a number of evolutionary and social techniques and concepts that aims to help promote mental and emotional well-being by encouraging people to be compassionate toward themselves and other people.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of psychotherapy that asks people to recall distressing images while generating one type of bilateral sensory input. This enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, time limited and goal oriented therapy.
It focuses on identifying thinking patterns and behaviours that create and/or keep problems going.
CBT aims to help you to modify or change those thinking patterns and behaviours so that you can learn new more helpful thoughts and behaviours to enable you to gain fulfilment in your life.
Through changes in thinking and behaviour you will experience an improvement in how you feel.
I integrate CBT with Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
The aim of therapy & counselling is designed to help enhance strengths and inner resources so that you can move forward from many problem areas such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive, insomnia and many other emotional difficulties.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of the therapy as it provides a safe space to discuss difficult experiences, thoughts and feelings without judgement.
Integrating these approaches means that therapy can be adapted around your needs and goals.
“So good to know that I really can change my life for the better; thanks.”
