PHILOSOPHY

You may be at a point in your life where you have found yourself stuck in one way or another, which may produce symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem or relationship problems.

You may also behave in ways that are driven by your difficult emotions.

The aim of therapy is to help you to discover your strengths and inner resources so you they can live a fulfilled life.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of the therapy as it provides my clients with the safety to discuss their thoughts and feelings without judgement.

HOW I WORK

You may be at a point in your life where you have found yourself stuck in one way or another, which may produce symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem or relationship problems.

I work using an integrative approach with an emphasis on cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). I enhance traditional CBT with mindfulness-based CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy and compassionate focussed therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Integrating these approaches means that therapy can be adapted around the needs of my clients.

The common theme within these approaches is to help my clients to recognise their thoughts and to explore whether they influence behaviours that may be keeping problems going.
